We would like to welcome Darryl to the MG Cup for 2021 in his MGTF160, a former champion with lots of race experience should make for some great racing.

Registrations still open in time for rounds 1 and 2 of MG Cup on 25th April at Brands Hatch

Due to us all missing the first round this season due to Covid, Peter was keen to get back out on track and has joined the MG Cup in our invitation class for Brands Hatch. It will be interesting to see the pace of the B on road tyres rather than slicks for rounds 1 and 2 of the MG Cup.

Only in the MG Car Club do you get to see two factory built Turbo charged one make cars do battle, at Brands in April the MG Cup will again share a double header with the Metro Cup… A Series MG Metro Turbo vs T Series Rover Tomcat Turbo two classic cars doing battle this season. You can catch all the action on live streaming on the day….

All cars will be running new sun strips for 2021 and revised championship decals. As part of our support for the Motor Neurone Disease Association we will be selling championship sun strips donations start at £10 for these.

Due to Covid restrictions the 2021 season will now start at Brands Hatch in April, the MG Cup will therefore be decided by the best 8 scores from 10 rounds to crown the 2021 champion.

We look forward to restrictions easing during 2021 and allowing the public back to watch events but in the mean time we look forward to seeing our fellow drivers and our friends in the Orange Army at a safe social distance.

MG Car Club announces insurance partnership with Cherished Vehicle Insurance Services. The MG Car Club is excited to announce the launch of a new club insurance partnership with Cherished Vehicle Insurance Services. The scheme will create an offering for MG Car Club members that will keep the specialist needs and requirements of MG Car Club members at the forefront.

Furthermore, the club support from the new insurance partnership will extend to motorsport also and the MG Car Club is excited to announce Cherished Vehicle Insurance Services as the new headline sponsor for the MG Cup, starting with the 2021 season. Motorsport fans can expect to see the new insurance scheme livery adorning competing cars from the opening round at Silverstone on 20th March 2021.

The MG Cup will be supporting and fundraising for the MNDA (Motor Neurone Disease Association). The MND Association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The championship is pleased to help fund raise this worthy charity as we have all seen the effects have had on one of our drivers.

33 Registered drivers….. we cant wait for the season to start…. Hen returns in MG Maestro which will also be seen sprinting during the season with his Father.

2021 MG Cup will be contested over 12 races with 10 counting over 6 weekends at some of the best circuits in the UK.
