Brands Hatch a Huge Success for Equipe MG Cup

Twenty-nine cars battled it out at Brands Hatch in the final three rounds of the 2026 Equipe MG Cup season, with another record-breaking grid taking to the famous Kent circuit.

Drivers competed across five classes:

• Class A – Standard
• Class B – Modified
• Class C – Race
• Class D – Slicks
• Class I – Invitation

The diverse grid featured MGFs, TFs, MG ZRs, MG ZSs, MGF Cup cars, MGBs, Rover Metro GTis and Rover Tomcats, all enjoying 80 minutes of track time at one of Britain’s finest racing venues.

With only the Super Sprint remaining on the 2026 calendar, competitors left nothing on the table as they pushed hard throughout a fantastic day of racing.

The Equipe MG Cup continues to offer an accessible and welcoming route into motorsport. Cars are available for hire, while experienced teams provide arrive-and-drive packages and full support services. Whether you are a novice racer or someone looking to return to the sport after a few years away, there is plenty of help available to get you back behind the wheel.

The success of this season’s five novice drivers has highlighted the strength of the series, with all expected to return for next season.

Based around MG and Rover machinery, the series places the emphasis firmly on driver ability. With closely policed regulations, competitive racing and a friendly paddock atmosphere, the Equipe MG Cup remains one of the most enjoyable ways to go racing in the UK.
