Fantastic turn out 24 cars did battle at the last double header this season, race report and photos to follow. Its a quick turn around for the season final round a 40 minute pit stop race on the 5th October.

Yet again the Equipe MG Cup have the biggest grid of any MG Championship or Series, at Snetterton with 17 MGZR’s racing out for the 24 entries. Its not to late to put your entry in. With registered competitors in 5 classes we are the home of MG Rover Motorsport, what are you plans for 2025?
The series is 5 classes and as you can we have a good spread of drivers with some cars being shared.
Class A 9 Drivers – 3 MGFVVC and 6 MGZR160.
Class B 23 Drivers – 2 MGZS180 and 21 MGZR170.
Class C 6 Drivers – 3 MGZS180 and 1 MGZR170 and 1 MGZR190 and 1 Rover 220 Turbo.
Class D 6 Drivers – 2 MGZR190 and 1 MGF Cup and 1 MGF190 and 1 MGB Roadster and 1 MG Midget.
Class I 11 Drivers – 1 MGB and 3 MGZR170 and 3 MGZR190 and 1 MGFVVC and 1 Rover 216 Gti and 2 Rover 220 Turbo.

Fergus Campbell joins us once more for Snetterton, the freshly rebuilt car is in class B. He should be in the mix. With registered competitors in 5 classes we are the home of MG Rover Motorsport, what are you plans for 2025?

James Blake returns this time in his MGZR190 in invitation this is the 2nd car from I-Tech Racing to enter, Chaz Ryles will be busy. We look forward to welcoming James back after his debut at Silverstone.
The MG Cup is the only MG Rover race series with 51 registered drivers who take advantage of the series format offered by Equipe Classic Racing. If you would to find out more email Joinus@mgcup.com

Jonnie Wheelers rebuilt and refurbed soft tune v8 out with Equipe MG Cup and Equipe BCV8 at Snetterton weekend. We look forward to a V8 in the mix.
If you want to join us at Snetterton get you entries in, the final round is at Silverstone in October and is a 40 minute pit stop challenge.

Archie makes his debut at Snetterton, the 17 year old ex carter run in the popular class B in MGZR170.
He started karting at Daytona Milton Keynes, and did their Sunday Championship, before we moved to TKM owner driver until he was 15 at which point we looked into cars after his 16th Birthday. He did his Ards at Mallory, we bought the Crx did some track days and entered the last 3 race meetings of 2023 in 750mc Hot Hatch. Following a successful day at Thruxton and showing good pace and got to grips with the MGZR170 being prepared and run by Chaz Ryles i-tech racing .
We look forward supporting his racing aspirations and could not find a better series to do it in, with 52 registered drivers making the Equipe MG Cup the place to race you MG Rover.
Entries are coming in for the Equipe MG Cup with 3 new drivers for the Series, this year has proved a success with growing grids and a relaxed atmosphere. Time to get you entries in.

We are here again today at the post Abingdon weekender. Promoting the MG Cup and racing of MGZR’s! We have had lots of interest and it’s been great to be able to promote motorsports to others.
