The countdown is officially underway for the 2026 racing season. Equipe Classic Racing’s Test and Media Day will take place on 10th March at Brands Hatch. Driver entries are now open via the Equipe Dashboard, online with all events this season can now be entered. We already have 34 registered drivers, and further entries are warmly welcomed. What are your objectives for the upcoming year? Our varied grid provides a highly competitive, regulated, close racing  with high driving standards.

• Class A: Road vehicles with minor modifications, equipped with Toyo R888R tyres
• Class B: Modified vehicles on Toyo R888R tyres
• Class C: Race cars fitted with Toyo R888R tyres
• Class D: Race cars using slick tyres
• Invitation: Vehicles outside of standard regulations, but embodying the spirit of the Equipe MG Cup

2026 MG Cup Event Schedule

• April 4th – Silverstone International: 20-minute qualifying session and two 20-minute races
• May 2nd – Silverstone Grand Prix: 20-minute qualifying and a 40-minute pit stop race (rolling start, one or two drivers)
• June 6th & 7th – Snetterton 300: Two 20-minute qualifying sessions and two 20-minute races
• July 4th – Donington Park National: 20-minute qualifying session and two 20-minute races
• August 1st – Cadwell Park: 20-minute qualifying session and two 20-minute races
• September 5th & 6th – Brands Hatch Indy: Two 20-minute qualifying sessions and two 20-minute races
• October 3rd – Supersprint 2026: The award-winning race format, not to be missed

All events include full hospitality; each driver receives two lunch tickets, with complimentary tea, coffee, and soft drinks available throughout the day. Experience club racing as it should be, the Equipe way.

The Award Winning Equipe Super Sprint

An innovative race format, the Equipe Super Sprint is separate 10 lap sprint races in one day. Following each race, the results are split three ways, making up the grids for the next rounds of races.

Although called a Sprint, these are races, not single car sprints. This is not a knock out and every driver gets a full day of track time.

The first round is 15 minute qualifying and following this, three 10 lap races will be from a standing start. Each driver will get the same track time across the day and the finals will all have the same standing and trophies. This is very busy and exciting day with a huge amount of energy and fun.

As the day goes on the drivers are filtered into races featuring closer lap times to themselves. The 3 finals are super competitive with cars and drivers matched through the heats. Each year the Super Sprint has been held, we have had drivers win races and finals that would not normally do so.

Are you the proud owner of a classic Rover racing car? We invite you to join us on the grid, competing under the original regulations that honour the heritage and spirit of legendary models. Our line-up features icons such as the 216 GTi, MGF Cup, 220 Turbo Tomcat, Rover Metro GTi Challenge Cars, Maestros, and even the famed 6R4s. Notably, the 6R4s shared the track with MGB, MG Midgets, MGC, and MGB V8s during our inaugural year, underscoring the diversity and tradition of our races.
Our events unite a remarkable variety of cars from Roversport’s most celebrated years, complemented by modern MG Sport & Racing vehicles. Every entry is committed to maintaining fair competition and upholding high driving standards throughout the series.
